WHAT
Access2Knowledge (A2K) is an open learning project and curated space for free and low cost, accessible information. Sparked by the Open Education movement, A2K exists to support the social justice work of democratizing knowledge. Everyone deserves the chance to learn and grow, no matter their income, identity, role, or education status.
WHO
A2K is for students, educators, families, community organizers, and curious humans who want trustworthy, usable information without paywalls or elitist gatekeeping. It is also a home for scholars, practitioners, and writers who want their work to make a real-world impact, not sit behind a journal login.
THE BEGINNING
Access2Knowledge began as a straightforward Q&A style site that offered simple explanations on everyday topics. That work mattered, and we honor the creators and readers who built that foundation. A2K is now evolving into a more intentional, research-informed, openly licensed learning hub, and we are carefully updating and rebuilding with that history in mind.

- Model transparent, ethical use of AI in service of people and the public good.
